“ This is a wonderful restaurant with great home-style food, outstanding service in a relaxing setting. I ordered the rainbow trout with expertly roasted vegetables. The food was served well prepared, and nice and hot. I greatly appreciated this on a cold rainy day. Our server suggested having a 1/2 & 1/2 crab soup, by mixing the two varieties of crab soup together. Absolute Y U M!!! I finished my meal with the bread pudding, which was also delicious. I wish I thought to get our server’s name. He was knowledgeable, offered incredible suggestions, didn’t rush us at all, and truly elevated our dining experience. Whenever I’m in the area again, I will be back!!! ”
“ Great dinner. Great service. Plenty of parking. Had a 12oz prime rib for 32 and a turkey sandwich for 14. The turkey sandwich was like Thanksgiving. The prime rib was seasoned well. Lots of options on the menu. They were excellent with food allergies. ”
“ Drove past and stopped, great find. Nick provided the best service. The food was super good. Loved the fried green tomatoes. Shared a dinner of the rockfish with crab imperial. That was very good even though I am not a fish person. Substituted real mashed potatoes and also had the very delicious vegetable medley. Fabulous food ”
“ Best place to get a deli sandwich in Maryland. No question. We must cherish the women who work in this deli and appreciate what they do, because they make the best sandwiches! They deserve raises. Also, solid spot if you’re a drinker, huge variety. Purchases today are the “big shot” some red hot chips, & some Smith & Cross for the weekend! Oh yeah! ”
“ This place was phenomenal! There was so much lump crab meat in the cream of crab soup! The broiled stuffed shrimp was scrumptious! Service was exceptional! It was so delicious I can't stop using all the big words to describe the wonderful meal I devoured! ”
“ *Updates. Superb recent breakfasts including South Western Omelette. *Update dinner 11/21/24. Saute Chicken and Meatloaf entrees were lovely (8 & 9 pictures below). Service by Lissa excellent. Unique locally owned place to dine.. Highly recommended. Lunch: Try a Monte Christo sandwich! 5/24/22 Revisited. Another Monte Christo. Nicely presented, now with raspberry sauce. Very nice indeed. 8/9/22 Revisited. Up from 3 to 4 star rating. Dawn served us in a booth as well as covering the bar. Excellent and very attendant service. Fried Chicken (pic 5) very good, not dry but nothing special. Chicken Saute (pic 6) and Key lime Pie (pic 7) excellent. 4/25 Well served by Molly. MD fried chicken and Steak Salad very good, but not very seasoned, and then again, healthier and that might also be to your taste? ”
“ I love going here. I’m always seated quickly and no matter what I get off the menu It’s good. My food is always freshly made and comes out piping hot although the furnishings are a little dated I think it just adds to the charm of the place. It’s definitely been clean every time I’ve gone there. The only drawback this time is there was a guy sitting at a table near me who talked really loud. It sounded like he was doing a sales pitch and wanted everyone in the restaurant to hear it in case we might hear it and become customers. But once my food came it was a much needed and much appreciated distraction. Try Rips. You won’t be disappointed, and you may find a new business opportunity. ”
“ Classy comfort food. Felt like somewhere between a country club and Irish pub. Had the fried pickles. Slight complaint that they arrive all clumped together, so we had to cut them apart. Fresh breaded with yummy breading that tasted like fried fish batter. My roasted beet salad was one of the best salads I've ever eaten. It had apples, and I had the cheese held because I don't eat cheese, but I could imagine how it would have made it even more delicious for those who like cheese. We brought a slice of carrot cake home with us. It did not disappoint, even with a container of whipped cream and another of fresh carrot shreds to top it off. My husband enjoyed the reuben. My son, a burger. ”
